Still Some Thoughts
Has been difficult to write for awhile now. Not sure exactly why. So amny different things swirling within my head. Just tough to focus than it used to be hmmm no it has nothing to do with turning 50!!! LOL
Is Genesis story from Creation to the Fall literal reality or allegorical story??? Does it matter in an ultimate sense??
Is it possible Adam or Cain are satan as spoken of by Jesus when he is telling the jewish religious leaders that they are children of their father who was a murderer from the beginning??? Satans fall from heaven is usually depicted as happening in Isaiah, but context reveals it is actually speaking about king Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon.
Will God being us all back to live with Him in whatever way He chooses or is hell just as traditionally understood where eternal separation is the final decree??? Is there enough evidence to question the traditional view by examining Jesus words on hell??? Is there reason to consider He meant something else??
What about verses that speak of Jesus being the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe??? That God bound all of us under disobedience so all could be shown grace and forgiveness???? Does John 3:16 mean God so loved only those in the world who were either *elect*, believers or loved Him??
How do fear and love coexist??? Proverbs says *the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom* Gospels say God is love. Hell is most terrifying reality of all, and God who is Love is the One who made it so. IF........ it is as traditionally understood. Perfect love casts out fear, but the sermon *Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God* focused on fear to scare the hell out of people.
Just thoughts that hopefully lead to discussions. Especially in places elsewhere by people whi frame them much more profoundly than I.

I saw that someone posted on another blog that the writer couldn't possibly be a Christian because they had fear.
What a horrible thing to say?
We know God loves us, yet we still have fear for some things because, well, we're not GOD! We're human. Fear is okay, taking it to God is perfect.
Just doing that is hard sometimes.
Karen- so good to hear from you my friend!!! I have seen similar comments other places saying fear and faith cannot coexist. Actually, Paul tells us to *woek out our salvation with fear and trembling* Hmmm lol Always enjoy your comments sweet one!!!
